![]() ![]() Hi Ian, I am sorry to hear that your recent experiences have left you with a negative view of our support and services, we do pride ourselves on trying to provide a good level of support to our customers, so we are taking the feedback you have given and looking at ways to minimise the situations where this might happen. I've ended up using Cloudberry Backup Free alongside an AWS S3 bucket and I've replicated their backup service for about 10p per month of storage charges (yes, 10 PENCE) for what Livedrive now want to charge £14 a month for (and their service doesn't even work properly!) If you are thinking of becoming a Livedrive customer, just don't and save yourself the time and hassle. If you are a current Livedrive customer, I'd recommend checking you can actually restore your backups and then move elsewhere ASAP, espcially if you are a business. Even if the software was functioning properly, it won't allow a bulk restore of a devices files, you have to go and restore individual folders which is a horrendous experience and quite frankly ridiculous for what is meant to be a modern piece of software. I managed to restore a subset of my data, after troubleshooting issues with their software myself, but haven't been able to obtain everything. My files were clearly there in their system, they just couldn't be bothered to help. The T&Cs didn't state that when I signed up, nor did they ever notify me about any changes to terms and conditions. They even trying to get out of assisting by saying that the T&Cs stated these files shouldn't still be in the backup system as the devices they were backed up from up were no longer connected to Livedrive (Which completely defeats the point of a backup service!!!!) Well they had died a death, so of course they were not. Couldn't even be bothered to perform the most basic troubleshooting. I obviously contacted support, who rather than actually try and resolve the issue just fobbed me off with excuse after excuse after excuse. Recently I tried to restore all my device backups and was unable to do so, software would just hang and rarely do anything. The briefcase portion has worked fine in general and I had thought the backup portion was working fine, although it seems it hasn't been and I've been paying for a service that doesn't work for 10 years. They are now not responding to support my tickets, perhaps because I was too honest when sharing what I thought of their service. ![]() Yet despite them confirming the account would be terminated and I'd not be rebilled, I have been charged again (along with a 70% hike in fees). Awful Service, Unhelpful Staff, Poor Proceduresīeen a customer for almost a decade, I've finally had enough though and cancelled. ![]()
